STPGA Championships are meant to reward players that participate in many events but also bring highly skilled players together to
form a cohesive Championship. The STPGA has outlined how many players will receive an invitation to The STPGA Spring Junior
Championship based on their points earnings at the end of the Spring Series on April 21st. As stated in our Junior Golf Rules and
Regulations, our Championship fields are a direct representation of our entire program based on the number of players in each
metro area, the number of players in each division, and past averages. When looking at the Points List, make sure to organize it by
division AND metro area.
Below is the Final Invitation Breakdown for the Junior Tour STPGA Spring Junior Championship. This updated Invitation Breakdown
will dictate how many junior golfers will get invited per division and metro area when the season is complete on April 21st. Please
note, no division experienced a decrease in invitations when the update was made.
Please review the following process that will be utilized for Championship invitations in 2024:
1. Once invitations are sent, invited players will have 24 hours to register or decline their invitation. After a player declines or no
action has been completed in 24 hours, the invited player will lose their spot and the next player from the same division/metro area
Points List will be invited. This process will continue until the division is full. If there are no players next on the same list, the spot
will revert to the overall division Points List.
2. Players in the top 10% overall of their respective division of the Points List will receive an invitation regardless of the allocated
spots per metro area in the division. Meaning if you did not qualify in your metro, players have the opportunity to qualify via overall
points for the division. If these spots are not needed, this does not mean the STPGA will invite more players.
3. The STPGA reserves the right to invite players based on the overall division Points List on Wednesday, April 24th in order to
complete the playing field.
