The Southern Texas PGA Junior Golf Program was formed on the principle to introduce and provide youth in Southern Texas the opportunity to Learn! Play! Compete! while playing golf. The program is open to juniors ages 6-18 and offers 5-hole, 9-hole, 18-hole, and 36-hole tournaments in a combination of five different tours. The entire program is supervised and run by the PGA Professionals in the Southern Texas PGA!

A one-time membership fee of $80 is required in order to participate in the Southern Texas PGA Junior Golf Program. All memberships expire on December 31 of each year, regardless of when a junior becomes a member. We encourage all juniors to register at the beginning of the year. With your membership, members are able to play in all three series at no additional cost.

With your membership you will receive the following:

  • STPGA Tee Gift
  • USGA Rule Book or PGA Rules of Golf Summary Book
  • STPGA Bag Tag
  • Online Statistical Analysis and Scoring
  • 2 years and older - A GHIN Handicap Index provided by the Texas Golf Association

The STPGA offers 5 different programs. Members are allowed to participate in any program that they are age eligible for. However, we encourage people to find the correct program for them and participate in that program until the juniors skill set is ready for the next step.

Division Placement

The Southern Texas PGA strongly believes that each player should remain in the same division throughout a specific season.  Therefore, the age division that each player participates in will be determined by the age of the player when the season finishes.
