As the STPGA continues to grow, we are both excited and extremely thankful to introduce our major sponsors for 2012! Without these sponsors we would not be able to maintain a high level of success for each junior golfer apart of our program. Academy Sports + Outdoors has been a staple of this program for many years and we are excited to sign them as our title sponsor through the year 2013. From the various events we work together, to their love for junior golf in southern Texas, the STPGA Junior Golf Program would not be able to provide the high level of opportunities for everyone in the program without Academy’s help. Camp Olympia is the “preferred summer camp of the Southern Texas PGA Junior Golf Program.” Established in 1968, Camp Olympia is an overnight Texas Summer Camp for boys and girls, ages 7-16. It is a true American Summer Camp experience. Our beautiful location on Lake Livingston in Trinity, Texas is the perfect setting for FUN, SUN, and ADVENTURE. The Insperity Championship, played annually at The Woodlands Country Club Tournament Course features one of the best Champions Tour fields all season. The STPGA Junior Golf program has been a proud partners of this event, hosting a Pro-Junior Am on Tuesday during the event where 36 junior golfers play nine holes with a Champions Tour player. Mark O’Meara, Craig Stadler, and Larry Mize all participated in 2011. Juniors will qualify for the 2012 Pro-Junior Am at the 2012 Spring Series Championship held March 31-April 1 at the Hyatt Hill Country in San Antonio, TX.
