Parent-Junior Tournaments

Parent-Junior Tournaments

Overview

The STPGA Parent-Junior tournaments are one of the most unique parts of the STPGA junior golf program. These events are meant to be fun, enjoyable, and an experience that the family can share together.

A team is comprised of one junior and one adult.  The adult may be a parent, aunt/uncle, or even a grandparent.  At each tournament the two person team will play a Modified Alternate Shot.  Modified Alternate Shot is when both players tee off, then you pick the best drive and then alternate playing one ball until it is holed.  Juniors will play from their normal Little Linksters or Junior Tour tees while the parents will play from tees that are based off their handicap.

At each Parent-Junior, the adult and junior will receive a complimentary lunch before playing, a round of golf, and a golf cart.  We will also hand out awards at the end of the tournament.

All Little Linkster Parent-Juniors are 9-hole events while all Junior Tour Parent-Juniors are 18 hole events.
