Spring Series

Spring Series

Overview

The Spring Series is the first series of the year for STPGA Junior Golf Members. The Spring Series starts in January and runs through April. Tournaments are held on the weekend throughout the Southern Texas section. For complete information about each type of program, visit each of their home pages.

Tournament fees for Spring Little Linksters and Junior Tour events range between $35-$70. Entry fees are higher than our summer series because golf courses are in their prime season and charge more to play at their facilities on the weekend. Prestige Tour events cost between $160-$175.

Spring Series Championships

Below, the STPGA has determined the amount of players in each division and metro area that will be invited to each championship.

For the Junior Tour Championship and Little Linkster Championship, invitations will be sent out on Monday, April 18 since the last tournaments is April 17.

These numbers are based off the number of juniors in each metro area and division.  Our Championships are a fair representation of the number of players in each metro area and division as well as the number of players we are allowed at the Championship sites.  The STPGA will extend invites to the below players who qualified from the points list.  The STPGA reserves the right to extend more invites if the field requirements are not met.  This will be based off the current points list standings and what players cannot attend form that specific metro area and division.   Austin, Houston, San Antonio, The Valley, and Corpus Christi will have their own point’s lists.  Beaumont players will funnel into Houston while Bryan/College Station players funnel to Houston or Austin.  Players can play in any event in any metro area and count towards their point list
