SPRING, TEXAS ---
The Southern Texas PGA Junior Golf Program will be well represented at the 44th
Girls Junior PGA Championship on July 9-12, 2019 at Keney Golf Course in Hartford, Conn. This marks the first PGA of America national championship contested in Connecticut.
Representing the STPGA will be Isha Dhruva, Jackie Feldman, Madelyn Jones, and Zoe Paige Slaughter. These juniors, along with 140 other junior golfers, earned their spot into the Championship through several avenues, including the champions from each of the PGA of America’s 41 section junior championships. In addition, exemptions were earned through the results of top-tier national junior events, national amateur/open events, diversity and inclusion events, and other special considerations. Dhruva and Feldman qualified after being top finishers at the Southern Texas Girls Junior PGA Championship on June 10-11 at Canyon Springs Golf Club in San Antonio.
Boys Junior PGA Championship will also be contested at Keney Park Golf Course from July 30 – August 2.
