PGA Junior League Golf is open to any child 13 and under*, of all abilities! The recommended minimum age is 9, however, many Captains permit younger players to participate. A player cannot be 14 years of age prior to August 1 (which coincides with the end of the regular season) of the year in which he or she participates.
Due to the program's nurturing scramble format, all teammates can work together and contribute to winning their game, regardless of gender. Boys and girls of similar ability play and compete together in any game pairing (boy-and-girl, girl-and-girl, boy-and-boy). There are no separate divisions, tee boxes, and yardages to play from.
PGA Junior League Golf is open to youth of any ability. Whether they are a seasoned vet or a new beginner, the program's scramble format creates opportunities to both demonstrate their ability and learn with their peers.
*Some facilities also offer 17 and under, which will be denoted in the facility description on the registration search page.
The PGA Jr. League Postseason presented by National Car Rental is comprised of All-Star teams formed from a combination of players in all teams in a local league. The player composition of these All-Star teams is based on the numbers of teams in the local league and the final league standings.
All-Star teams compete in a series of competitions (Qualifier, Section Championship, Regional) before reaching the National Championship. The dates and locations for the 2020 STPGA East / West Qualifiers and Section Championship will be announced shortly.
