PT Recap: Girls Jr PGA Championship #2

July 2, 2025

Pearland, TX (June 30-July 1) - Incredible performances, close leads and good times were the key factors of this 2025 Girls Jr PGA Championship. With Carolyn Liu shooting 5 birdies in Round 2 to close the gap to -2 and Addison Bandelier overtaking third place in the last few holes of the tournament, it was an intense couple days at Golfcrest Country Club.

Live in the Moment: Megan Rodrigues Takes the 13-18 Trophy

Megan Rodrigues (Cypress, TX) had it figured out from the beginning of the tournament. She shot a combined score of 137 with 10 birdies, saying that she "had a great mental game [in Round 2]...just focused on the shot ahead of [her]". Even though our second place winner, Carolyn Liu, nearly tied the match by shooting just two strokes above her during Round 2, Rodrigues didn't let that affect her game.

Back to the Trophy Case: Muci Guo's Great Season

This week, Muci Guo (Bellaire, TX) took first place in the 13-14 division with a combined score of 147 at Golfcrest Country Club. Guo showed her consistency as a high ranking player in the 13-14 Prestige Tour division this tournament, as she has placed top four in five events this 2025 PT season. Her performance on the par 4 holes stood out and allowed her to make the birdies necessary for the win in this tournament.
