Pearland, TX (May 17-18, 2025) - In the beautiful city of Pearland, TX the Srixon Prestige Tour hosted the 2025 Spring Fling at Pearland Golf Club. Juniors battled some warm weather over the 36-hole round but nonetheless, were able to play a great weekend of golf to wrap up the final spring Prestige Tour event of the year!
Playoff Triumph: Astete Claims First 2025 Victory in Thrilling Fashion
Elle Astete of Katy, TX captured her first 2025 Prestige Tour title in dramatic fashion, winning in a playoff victory after posting consistent rounds of 75-75 for a total score of 150 (+6). The victory marks a major milestone for Astete, who held her nerve under pressure to secure her second career win on the Srixon Prestige Tour.
Astete also earned herself two major exemptions over the weekend with her victory qualifying her into the 2025 Texas Women's Open, as well as the 99th Texas Junior Amateur.
From Start to Finish: Woldert Earns First Prestige Tour Victory
Freeman Woldert of Houston, TX delivered a commanding performance to claim his first-ever Prestige Tour title, going wire-to-wire for the win. Woldert led the field from the opening round and never looked back, carding seven birdies over the two days, sealing the breakthrough victory in style with a 72-73, 145 (+1).
Along with his first ever Srixon Prestige Tour victory, Woldert also earned himself a spot at the 99th Texas Junior Amateur set to take place later this season.
