The Bayou Cup is an annual competition between the Southern Texas PGA and Louisiana Junior Golf Tour held for the first time in 2025. Presented by Srixon and Adidas, this Ryder Cup-style event features the top 12 junior golfers from each Tour and is hosted at Big Easy Ranch in Columbus, TX.

2026 Dates & Location

The Southern Texas PGA is excited to announce the second annual Bayou Cup, set to take place December 4-6 at The Covey at Big Easy Ranch. The venue, which was the host site for the first Bayou Cup in 2025, provides a championship-caliber stage and unforgettable experience for top junior golfers in Southern Texas and Louisiana.

2026 Qualification Guidelines

There are various championships on the Srixon Prestige Tour for players to earn a spot on Team STPGA at The Bayou Cup. Below are the events in which the champion in the listed divisions will earn a spot to represent Team STPGA:

Note 1: In the event that any of the players have already met the qualifying guidelines for the The Bayou Cup team, the next best finishing player, not already qualified, will qualify for the The Bayou Cup team. If, after the third best finishing player, not already qualified, cannot make it, The STPGA Staff will select a replacement. In the event of a tie, there will be a hole-by-hole sudden death playoff immediately following play.

Note 2: All qualifying participants must be within the Class of 2027 or later in order to participate.

Note 3: All invited players for the The STPGA Bayou Cup team must be a member of the STPGA and must be a Texas resident. 

Note 4: Should a player that earned the Boys 11-14 exemption turn 15 by the start of the The Bayou Cup after qualifying when the player was 14, that player will be allowed to compete in the The Bayou Cup in the respective 11-14 age division.

NOTE 5: Should the leader of the respective points list already have an exemption; the STPGA will move to the next player on the points list. In order to receive an invitation a player must be in the top 10 of their respective points list.

Note 6: If, within 30 days of the Official Practice Round of the The Bayou Cup, a player who has previously qualified is unable to compete for any reason, the STPGA Staff will select a replacement.

Team LJGT Captures First-Ever Bayou Cup!

Congratulations to the Louisiana Junior Golf team for winning the Cup at the 1st Annual Bayou Cup matches on December 5-7 at Big Easy Ranch. The final score was LJGT 15 - STPGA 9.
