The Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches is an annual competition between the Northern and Southern Texas PGA Junior Tours’ top six boys and top six girls aged 13-18. The Matches provide a unique, one-of-a-kind experience for each Tour’s best-playing junior golfers. The Ryder Cup-style format features 12 junior golfers from each Tour competing in 18-hole Four-Ball and 9-hole Foursomes on the first day followed by 18-hole Singles Matches on the final day.

2025 Dates & Location

The event took place on August 4–5, 2025, at the historic Shady Oaks Country Club in Fort Worth and proved to be an extraordinary affair. Established by Texas Golf Hall of Fame Member Marvin Leonard, Shady Oaks held a special place in golf culture, particularly due to its close association with the iconic Ben Hogan. As one of the club’s founding members, Hogan had practically made Shady Oaks his second home, spending countless hours there honing his craft.



Shady Oaks Country Club remained a bastion of Hogan’s legacy, boasting an impressive array of memorabilia dedicated to the golfing legend. Following a recent renovation, the facility stood as a beacon of excellence in the Texas golfing scene, offering an unparalleled experience for players of all skill levels. With its rich heritage, state-of-the-art amenities, and unwavering commitment to preserving Hogan’s memory, Shady Oaks provided an unforgettable experience for all who had the privilege of participating in the event.

2025 Qualification Guidelines

There are various Srixon Prestige Tour events for players to earn a spot on team STPGA in the Ben Hogan Cup Matches. Below are the events in which the champion in the marked divisions will earn a spot to represent Team STPGA.

#TeamSTPGA Goes Back-to-Back at Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches!

Congratulations to the Southern Texas PGA Texas Junior Cup team for winning the Cup at the 10th Annual Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches on August 5-6 at Shady Oaks Country Club. Team STPGA kept the cup in Southern Texas for the second year in a row. The final score was STPGA 14 - NTPGA 10.
