This marquee event, now in its third year, has quickly become a can't-miss opportunity to watch the strongest field of STPGA Junior Golfers that compete on the Srixon Prestige Tour!
FREDERICKSBURG, TX (JULY 22, 2026) - The Southern Texas PGA Junior Golf Program just wrapped up one of its biggest events of the year at The Insperity Tour Championship for the Srixon Prestige Tour.
Elliot Cope from Spicewood, TX won the boys division at 4-under par with rounds of 70 and 68, closing with three birdies in the last 6 holes to win the title. Earlier this summer Cope won the Junior PGA Championship qualifier at The Quarry in San Antonio, shooting an impressive 63 in round one and now heads to Frisco, TX red hot to play in next week’s Junior PGA Championship!
“I had a game plan and stuck to it the whole way through,” Cope said. “It paid off coming in and I made a couple of good birdies on the back nine.”

Ava Frazier from Austin, TX won the girls division with an impressive two-day score of 8-under with rounds of 66-68. This 2029 High School Graduate has been a staple in the STPGA Junior Golf program since joining in 2017. She came into this event off a first-place win last week at the Srixon Prestige Tour event in San Antonio.
“I’m proud of myself for fighting it out in the heat since it was really hilly, and walking,” Frazier said.
Now in its third year, The Insperity Tour Championship continues to build momentum and is something the STPGA Junior Golfers cannot miss! Hosted at nationally acclaimed Boot Ranch in Fredericksburg, this year’s event featured 56 boys and 34 girls, with 37 of them being Srixon Prestige Tour winners over the last 12 months.
Beyond competing for the championship title, this event is elevated due to additional items on the line. Both Cope and Frazier earned three awesome opportunities with their win!
The first is a spot into the historic Greenwood Cup Junior Invitational at River Oaks Country Club in Houston later this fall. The second is earning a spot to represent Team STPGA at the Bayou Cup held in December when STPGA plays against the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour. And lastly, through our strong relationship with the Legends Junior Tour, both have earned coveted Fully Exempt status with the Legends Junior Tour starting this September.
"I'm super excited for Greenwood," Cope said. "It stung last year, we were leading going into the second day and we weren't able to come out on top, so I'm excited to get back out there. I'm excited for the Bayou Cup too and ready to help the team win."
"I'm excited," Frazier said. "I've never played in the Greenwood Cup before, so I'm going to try and find a good partner for me and compete."

The STPGA would like to thank our title sponsor and partners at The Insperity Invitational for continuing to provide this top-tier opportunity for our junior golfers and for their commitment to growing the game of golf across Southern Texas.
We’re also incredibly grateful to the staff and members at Boot Ranch, including PGA Head Professional Alex Rhyne, for allowing us access to their premier facilities and giving our competitors an unforgettable experience. This was Boot Ranch’s first time hosting a junior golf event!
Finally, we extend our thanks to our Prestige Tour title partner, Srixon, for their support of our junior golf programs throughout the year. Their support makes everything we do possible!
