KINGWOOD, TEXAS (November 12–13, 2022) - The Kingwood Cup was held this past weekend on the Forest Course at the Clubs of Kingwood. Over 80 of our junior golfers battled near freezing temperatures for their chance to take home the crown.

In the overall girls division, Audrey Rosen of Katy, overcame a four stroke deficit to capture her first ever Prestige Tour Victory. After a first round 82 in, Rosen bounced back with a stellar (+7) 79, that included a clutch (+2) 38 on her back nine to ensure her victory. In the final round, Rosen played the par 3’s in -3 par and led the field in birdies (5) for the tournament. Prior to Rosen’s first victory she placed inside the top 15 in two other Prestige Tour events this season.

In the overall boys division, it took a playoff to determine our winner. Charlie Wylie of Houston, defeated James Devore with a birdie on the second playoff hole to claim his title. After a first round (+1) 73, Wylie found himself two shots clear headed into the final round. At the end of 36 holes Wylie was tied with James Devore, who fired a (-1) 71 to draw even with Charlie at (+4) 148. Wylie went on to make a 10 footer for birdie on the 9th green to capture the crown, his 1st win of the season. This was Wylie's 6th victory since joining the STPGA in 2012 and 1st this season after placing 2nd in the H-Town Showdown in August.
