July 8, 2026 •Southern Texas PGA

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (June 6, 2023) - The Prestige Tour Strackaline Summer Showdown was held at Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio, Texas this week. Our champions were tested throughout their rounds. Our boys division would be held to only 27-holes for the competition. With exemptions on the line these four champions stayed headstrong and focused on the end goal.

Robert Gonzalez of San Antonio was trailing by five-strokes after Round One and needed a big second round to put himself in position to win. After getting four birdies on the front nine he forced a playoff against the Boys 13-14 Champion Cameron Villarreal of San Antonio, both tying for first overall with a tournament total of (+1) 107. Robert would win the playoff after the first hole and was awarded the Boys 13-18 overall champion. This would be Robert's fifth win since becoming an STPGA member in 2018 and his first ever on the Prestige Tour. Robert would earn the exemptions of 2023 Texas Junior Amateur and 2023 George Hannon Junior Invitational.

The Girls Division would have a similar story as the Boys with a playoff at the end of the second round. Savannah Dupre of San Antonio would have a great back nine of the second round with five birdies on the last six holes to put herself tied for first with Presley Bolado of San Antonio. The playoff would be won after the first hole as well with Savannah being awarded the winner of the Girls 13-18 division. This event would make it back-to-back Prestige Tour wins for Savannah and put her at 53 STPGA career first place finishes since joining back in 2013. This would earn Savannah exemptions into the 2023 Texas Junior Amateur, 2023 George Hannon Junior Invitational and the 2023 Ascendant LPGA Benefiting Volunteers of America Girls Championship.
