Katelyn Allen claimed her first Prestige Tour victory at the Sun City Showdown, carding rounds of 73 and 71 on the par-72 Legacy Hills Golf Club. With steady play across both days, Allen stayed composed under pressure and finished even-par for the tournament. Her breakthrough win marks a milestone in her STPGA career, adding her name to the list of champions on the Prestige Tour.
Carlos Casteñeda Garza Earns First Prestige Tour Victory
Carlos Casteñeda Garza captured his first Prestige Tour title at the Sun City Showdown after a thrilling playoff finish. Casteñeda opened with a 2-over 74 but stormed back with an impressive 2-under 70 on Day 2 at Legacy Hills Golf Club, forcing a playoff with Reid Phillips. In the extra holes, Casteñeda held steady to secure the champion’s spot. Both Casteñeda and Phillips earned invitations to the 2025 Texas Junior Golf Alliance Invitational, but it was Casteñeda who walked away with the trophy and his first Prestige Tour victory.
