PT Recap: Vortech Contracting H-Town Showdown

Missouri City, TX (August 29-30, 2026) – The Srixon Prestige Tour summer season wrapped up last weekend with the Vortech Contracting H-Town Showdown at Quail Valley Golf Course! Junior golfers played through the Houston heat and completed 36 holes of competitive golf, showcasing their skills and drive in another successful event.

Reece Williams Claims Boys 15–18 Title at the Vortech Contracting
H-Town Showdown


Reece William strung together an impressive two days of golf at Quail Valley, holding off surging competitors in Round 2 to come away with the victory. Shooting six birdies and only five bogeys in the whole tournament, he finished the weekend 1-under-par. His win earned him an exemption to the 2026 Texas Junior Golf Alliance Invitational on the Legends Junior Tour!

Payson Pistono Claims Girls 15-18 & Overall Title at the Vortech Contracting
H-Town Showdown


Payson Pistono dominated the Girls Division in both rounds of golf. She carded nine birdies on the weekend, shooting 70-69-139 to bring her to a final of 3-under-par and the win! She earned two exemptions on the Legends Junior Tour: the 2026 Texas Junior Golf Alliance Invitational and the 2027 Texas Junior Girls' Invitational.

Dylan Hananto Claims Boys 11-14 Title at the Vortech Contracting
H-Town Showdown


Dylan Hananto strung together 5 birdies and 28 pars to win the Boys 11-14 Division. With a two-stroke lead after Round 1, he finished Round 2 2-over-par to bring him to a final of 145 strokes (+3) at the tournament. His victory earned him a spot to represent Team STPGA against the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour at the second-annual Bayou Cup at Big Easy in December!

Kathy Liu Claims Girls 11-14 Title at the Vortech Contracting
H-Town Showdown


Kathy Liu led the way through both rounds of the H-Town Showdown, finishing the weekend with a final score of 78-76-154. Her victory in the Girls 11-14 Division was her second in the month of August on the Srixon Prestige Tour!

New Braunfels, TX (August 15-16, 2026) – The Srixon Prestige Tour traveled to New Braunfels, Texas, for the Surf & Turf New Braunfels Showcase at Landa Park Golf Course, where players took on a competitive two-day championship. With great weather throughout the event, the field had ideal conditions to showcase their skills and battle for the top spots. Players delivered strong performances from start to finish, with steady play and impressive moments shaping the leaderboard across both rounds. As the competition came down to the final holes, the talented field once again showcased the skill, determination and competitive spirit that define the Srixon Prestige Tour. Spring, TX - Summer may be winding down, but there is still plenty of golf ahead at the Southern Texas PGA! With opportunities to qualify for Team STPGA, championship events, Drive, Chip & Putt competition and more than 100 events remaining across STPGA Junior Golf programs, the fall season is set to be an exciting one. Qualify for the Bayou Cup The road to the Bayou Cup continues this fall as junior golfers compete for the opportunity to represent Team STPGA. Players still have opportunities to earn their spot and compete alongside some of the top junior golfers in Southern Texas. Below are the upcoming events where players can earn an exemption toward a spot on Team STPGA for this year’s Bayou Cup. PT Recap: STPGA Challenge

Cypress, TX (August 10-11, 2026) – The Srixon Prestige Tour stayed in Houston for the STPGA Challenge at BlackHorse Golf Club, where players took on a competitive two-day championship. Round one brought challenging conditions and rain delays, but the field remained focused and made the most of every opportunity once play resumed. Despite the interruptions, players delivered strong performances throughout the opening round before returning for day two ready to finish strong. From steady play to clutch moments down the stretch, the talented field once again showcased the resilience and determination that define the Srixon Prestige Tour.
