STPGA Announces 2025 Ben Hogan Cup Matches #TeamSTPGA Captain!

Spring, TX (June 12, 2025) - The Southern Texas PGA is proud to announce Savannah Dupre as the 2025 Ben Hogan Team STPGA Captain. A decorated junior golfer and fierce competitor, Dupre brings unmatched experience and leadership to this prestigious role. With over 50 career STPGA victories across multiple divisions and programs, she exemplifies what it means to represent #TEAMSTPGA.
A familiar face in team match play, Dupre made her debut in 2016 as a member of the Texas Junior Cup Matches and later competed for Team STPGA in the 2022 Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches. Her return this year as Captain is a full-circle moment—one that brings both deep personal pride and a veteran’s insight.
"It’s a true honor to be named Captain," said Savannah, "I’m proud to now be on the other side of this experience, and I hope to lead our team with the same dedication and spirit that my Captain showed when I competed".
The Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches, now in their 10th year, will take place August 3–5 at the storied Shady Oaks Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas—Ben Hogan’s longtime home and a fitting backdrop for this elite competition. Modeled after the Ryder Cup, the event features six boys and six girls (ages 13–18) from both the Northern and Southern Texas PGA Sections. Players will compete in Four-Ball, Foursomes, and Singles matches over two days of team-based play.
Dupre’s captaincy is a testament to her consistent excellence and ability to inspire those around her. Savannah earned her captaincy through many seasons of high performance across STPGA divisions and programs, including the Srixon Prestige Tour, and a proven ability to inspire her peers.
"The STPGA has always been incredibly supportive, and I've met so many amazing people along the way," said Dupre, "I remember everyone I've met more than every shot that [event] day".
As Team STPGA looks to defend its 2024 victory, Dupre’s leadership will be central to the squad’s preparation, mindset, and unity. Her presence is more than symbolic—it’s a strategic advantage.
"I understand the need to stay in the moment," said Dupre. "It's all about learning to stay present and keep fighting when you might be down—and when you're up, to stay steady and calm."
We are thrilled to have Savannah as our 2025 Team STPGA Captain for the Ben Hogan Cup Matches and can't wait to watch her lead the team.
