There are still ample opportunity to claim your spot on the team and co can find out by viewing our exemption breakdown.

Prestige Tour Player Tournament Status Update

In an effort to continue to uphold the integrity of the game and to ensure players do not quit mid-round due to elective, non-emergency reasons, the Southern Texas PGA is updating the policy on player designations when a player is no longer an active participant in a tournament.

If a player tees off to begin a tournament, they will now be classified under one of the following 4 designations should they no longer become an active participant in the tournament, Disqualified (DQ), Withdrawal (WD), No Show (NS) and No Card (NC). To view the full definition of these classifications, Click Here to view the full policy.

Legends Junior Tour Performances

What an awesome showing from the STPGA at the Bluebonnet Championship! The STPGA had 17 players in the Top 10 across 3 divisions along with 2 winners! Congratulations to JP Lynch and Jackson Hymer on winning their respective divisions! Good luck to all our players as they compete on the Legends Junior Tour this coming month with 3 tournaments in June, we are looking forward to your continued success at the highest levels!

Thank You to Our Title Partners!

With all the awesome achievements of our Srixon Billiard Factory Prestige Tour golfers we want to thank our many Partners without whom our incredible Tour would not be possible! Firstly, we want to thank Billiard Factory, who is a fantastic supporter of the Southern Texas PGA Junior Golf Program. Billiard Factory has amazing products and services for all your home entertainment furniture needs! Another big thank you to Srixon for providing our players with golf balls and other equipment to keep them at the top of their game! Always keep them in mind when looking to level up your game or when deciding which golf ball to play. Thank you to TPC Industrial for being the title sponsor of the Spring Fling. They are a major distributor in the PVF Industry and a great supporter of the Southern Texas PGA and Junior Golf Program!

Rules Corner

On the June edition of Rules Corner, we will be talking about a Lost or Out of Bounds Ball and how a player must proceed. A player’s ball is lost when it is not found within the 3-minute search time from when the player or the caddie begins searching for it. A ball at rest is considered Out of Bounds when the entire ball is outside the boundary of the course. Out of Bounds can be defined in many different ways and these will always be noted in the tournament Local Rules. In either of these situations a player MUST take stroke and distance as their only relief option. A player is able to utilize a Provisional Ball in either of these situations to help save time. To learn more about Provisional Balls and the procedure for them you can read the May Prestige Tour Remarks in the Rules Corner section. You can find more information about the Rules for the Prestige Tour by reading the Hard Card, the STPGA Rules and Regulations, and the USGA Rules of Golf!

Thank you again to all our players, parents, host facilities, and Sponsors! We are looking forward to a great rest of the year with fierce competition and low scores! Srixon Prestige Tour Champions - January The Srixon Prestige Tour burst into the new season with the Prestige Tour Premiere at The Golf Club at Texas A&M in College Station, delivering drama from start to finish.
