The STPGA is excited to introduce our 2025 PGA Works Fellow, Leann Kelly. We are thrilled to have her on board the team and are eager to see all that she accomplishes with us in 2025! Here's a little more about her:

What’s your favorite place you played, round of golf, lowest score:
I've never even pkayed 9-holes before!


What’s one thing people don’t know about you:
I am 4’11”, but I’ve hit a PR on back squat at the gym of 165 lbs.


Were you involved in golf before working with the STPGA: I previously interned for First Tee Greater Houston and was a traveling operations intern for the AJGA!


What’s your favorite way to spend a day off:
I love to have a good self care day with face masks and bingeing Gossip Girl!


What would you sing at karaoke night:
Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond


What was your first job:
Working at Chick-Fil-A


What’s the farthest you’ve ever been from Texas:
I've been lucky enough to travel to Ethiopia which is about 8,500 miles from TX!


What are some of your favorite hobbies (how did you get into them):
Photography- I started this hobby in high school yearbook class and my talent and passion grew from there and I have even photographed a friend’s wedding

Working out/nutrition- One of my best friend’s dad is a body builder and I learned a lot from my friend himself about how to plan workouts, what exercises target which muscles, and a lot about nutrition like macro nutrients— significantly helps my mental health and of course physical, I like to see the improvements in strength every week and it is really cool to see how far you can challenge yourself


What’s your favorite golf memory:
My favorite golf memory is when I was teaching an 8-9 year old class at First Tee Greater Houston, and I was able to teach them the basics as well as build a genuine relationship with some of the participants.


What did you want to be when you were little:
A firefighter! I even had my own kid-sized red engine.


What is your greatest accomplishment/what are you most proud of:
One thing I’m most proud of is moving across the country to Montana knowing no one and trying something new. I volunteered with a ministry called A Christian Ministry in the National Parks and I lived and worked in Glacier National Park for one entire summer. I was proud that I took a risk, stepped out of my comfort zone, and made once in a lifetime friendships. Specifically, when I was there, I did a life changing solo hike to the Sperry Chalet. It is a 12.4 mile in total hike with an almost 3,500 ft elevation gain. 


Who is your favorite PGA TOUR Pro? Why?:
Scottie Scheffler because I grew up watching him get better every year and now it’s amazing to see where he’s come from and where I’ve come from since he started his career.


What is your favorite sport outside of golf: Football and Baseball, but if I jad to choose I'd say college football specifically!

San Antonio, TX (June 15-16, 2026) – The Srixon Prestige Tour made its way to San Antonio this week for the Boys & Girls Junior PGA Championship #2 at The Quarry Golf Course. While rain pushed back the start of competition on day one, players remained patient and ready to compete. Once play got underway, the field showcased impressive performances throughout the championship. Day two brought beautiful weather and ideal scoring conditions, setting the stage for a strong finish as players battled for titles and valuable points in one of the premier events of the summer season. Kingsland, TX (June 8-9, 2026) – The Srixon Prestige Tour traveled to Kingsland, Texas, for the Bluebonnet Classic, held at Legends Golf Course. Over two days of competition, players from across Southern Texas put their skills to the test across 36 holes, competing for division titles, valuable points, and championship exemptions. The event showcased some of the region's top junior talent and provided another exciting stop on the Prestige Tour schedule as golfers continued their pursuit of success throughout the 2026 season. In addition to the division champions earning exemptions, two more players secured valuable opportunities through their performances at the Bluebonnet Classic. Jackson Tennant earned exemptions into the Hannon-Fields Junior Invitational and Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches, while Caleb Patrick claimed an exemption into the 2026 Insperity Tour Championship. Both players put together strong performances over the two-day event and will have the chance to compete on some of junior golf's biggest stages later this year. Richmond, TX (June 8-9, 2026) – The Srixon Prestige Tour stayed in the Houston Metro for the Girls Junior PGA Championship #1 this week, where Black Hawk Country Club hosted a competitive event across two days. The tournament saw the first exemption given out to the Southern Texas girls for the Junior PGA Championship, alongside exemptions to the Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches, the Hannon-Fields Junior Invitational on the Legends Junior Tour, and The Insperity Tour Championship! The 2026 Junior PGA Championship will be held July 28-31 at Fields Ranch in Frisco. The course will also host the 2027 PGA Championship as it returns to Texas!
