What are some of your favorite hobbies, and how did you get into them? Watching TV shows, collecting sports cards, and exploring the Houston food scene with my fiancé. I got into collecting sports cards through my dad. Over COVID, it gave us time to look through his collection that he had kept away for years, and it rejuvenated my interest.
What’s your favorite golf memory? Winning the 2014 Conference USA championship as a team. It was the first Rice golf conference title in 75 years, and we beat #18 UAB by 1 shot.
What did you want to be when you were little? Either a pro golfer or a sports anchor.
Who is your favorite PGA TOUR Pro? Why? Ever: Tiger Woods. Nobody has the aura that he had in his prime. He made golf cool and fun to watch. Current: Rory McIlroy. He has a near-perfect swing, I love the way he carries himself, and he’s such a great competitor
What is your favorite sport outside of golf? Soccer or Basketball
What is your favorite quote or a motto you live by? I don’t live by any specific one, but I do like Tottenham Hotspur’s motto, ‘To Dare is to Do’, which encourages you to be bold, ambitious, and give everything you have with everything you do.
