STPGA Releases Spring Series Invitation Breakdowns

March 1, 2022Southern Texas PGA

Invitation Breakdowns for our 2022 Classic Chevy Sugar Land and Classic Chevy HWY 6 Spring Championships have been released. We are excited to host this year's Championship at The Clubs of Kingwood (Forest Course) on Saturday, April 30 - Sunday, May 1, 2022. The STPGA Championships are meant to reward players that participate in many events but also bring highly skilled players together to form a cohesive Championship. The Spring Series will be complete on April 24.

In order to be very clear on who receives invitations, our invitation process has been updated for 2022.

1. Once invitations are sent, invited players will have 24 hours to register or decline their invitation. After a player declines or no action has been completed in 24 hours, the invited player will lose their spot and the next player from the same division/metro area Points List will be invited. This process will continue until the division is full or by Thursday, April 28 at 3:00 p.m. If there are no players next on the same list, the spot will revert to the overall division Points List.

2. Players in the top 5% of their respective overall division Points List regardless of metro area that may not have earned a spot via the breakdown below will receive an invitation. If these spots are not needed, this does not mean the STPGA will invite more players.

3. Outside of what is listed in this outline, no additional invitations will be granted. The field will be considered final as of Thursday, April 28 at 3:00 p.m.

Invitations will be sent after all tournaments conclude on Sunday, April 24 via email. Official timing to register and other event information will be communicated at this time. It is the player's responsibility to register according to these guidelines.
