Boys and Girls STPGA Jr. PGA Championship Close Out in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX -- (June 11th, 2019) The boys and girls STPGA Jr. PGA Championships lived up to the expectations of as golfers were vying for a spot in the Jr. PGA Championship in Hartford, Connecticut. The top-2 in both girls' and boys' divisions had the opportunity to advance to play in Connecticut.

On the girls' side, Jackie Feldman ran away from the field with rounds of 65-67--132 for a two-day total of (-12). Coming in second and also advancing to the Jr. PGA Championship in Connecticut was Isha Dhruva after solid rounds of 76-66--142 (-2).

The Girls STPGA Jr. PGA Championship was held at Canyon Springs Golf Club in San Antonio, TX. Lindsay Lee won the Girls 11-12 division with rounds of 72-80--152 (+8). In the Girls 13-14 division Marissa Loya was crowned champion after rounds of 72-79--151 (+7). Feldman's (-12) total made her the overall champion, as well as the Girls 15-18 division winner.

The boys played their STPGA Jr. PGA Championship at The Club at Sonterra in San Antonio, TX. In the Boys 11-12 division Shiv Parmar beat out Finn Burkholder with rounds of 77-76--153 (+9). The Boys 13-14 division ended in a playoff with Jonathan Kim besting Jackson Hymer after they both tied at a two-day total of 157 (+13).

HS Chang and Sho Kato will be advancing to the Jr. PGA Championship in Connecticut on the boys side. HS Chang, the overall champion, won with rounds of 76-69--145 (+1). The second qualifying spot to advance to Connecticut ended in a tie between Sho Kato and Terrin Anderson after they both came in with a two-day total of 148 (+4). Kato defeated Anderson to claim the other spot.

San Antonio, TX (July 13-14, 2026) – Despite the Sunshine and Swing Challenge living up to only half of its name, junior golfers battled through the weather at Hill Country Golf Club in San Antonio for two days of outstanding competition. A talented field showcased resilience, determination, and impressive play in the pursuit of championship titles. In addition to the champions, four players secured the final spots in the 2026 The Insperity Tour Championship for the Srixon Prestige Tour through the Last Chance Qualifier during Round 1. Fletcher Whiting, Myles Malek, Ava Frazier, and Addison McCullough earned invitations with strong performances, punching their tickets to the season-ending championship and completing the Tour Championship field. League City, TX (July 13-14, 2026) – Though Houston's summer storms crowded the forecast, the Srixon Prestige Tour crowned champions at the Space City Challenge at Magnolia Creek Golf Club. Over the course of two days, our junior golfers showed their determination and talent despite the weather in an extremely competitive field. We would also like to congratulate four of our competitors for earning their "Last Chance" qualifying spots into The Insperity Tour Championship next week: Joslyn Born, Viktoria Germain, Cody Michals, and Cooper Hwang!
