This weekend, the Srixon Prestige Tour held the Heart of Texas Classic at Flying L Ranch Golf Course, and it was a great event from start to finish. A big thank-you to Flying L for being such a fantastic host and providing an excellent setting for our players. Despite the cold weather, competitors pushed through and brought great energy all weekend, making it a successful and memorable tournament. Read more about the winning junior golfers below.
Madden Myers
Claims Boys 15–18 Title at the Heart of Texas Classic
Madden Myers put together an impressive performance this weekend, finishing second after round one before jumping into first place to win the tournament. Myers shot a 73 in the opening round and followed it up with a 75 in round two to secure the victory. Over the two days, he recorded an impressive 30 pars, the most in his division, showcasing his consistency and steady play throughout the event.
Pippa Fikes Claims Girls Overall Title at the Heart of Texas Classic
Pippa Fikescaptured the 11–18 Overall Champion title after a strong comeback over the final round. After opening the tournament in third place with an 80 in round one, Fikes surged into first place on day two with an impressive 73 to secure the win. Widely regarded as a player to watch, she put everything together this weekend and earned a well-deserved victory with her steady play and determination down the stretch.
Gavin Martinez Claims Boys 11-14 Title at the Heart of Texas Classic
Gavin Martinez secured the win in the 11–14 Boys Division with a consistent performance from start to finish. Martinez shot a 75 in both rounds and remained in first place throughout the tournament to claim the victory. On day two, he recorded three birdies—the most of any player in his division during that round—helping him maintain his lead and close out the tournament on top.
Francie Martin Claims Girls 15-18 Title at the Heart of Texas Classic
Francie Martin claimed the victory in the 15–18 Girls Division with a steady performance throughout the tournament. Martin remained in first place in her division from start to finish, opening with a 78 in round one and following it up with an 84 in round two to secure the win. Over the two days, she recorded 21 pars—the most in her division—highlighting her consistency and control across the entire event.
