PT Recap: Space City Challenge

League City, TX (July 13-14, 2026) – Though Houston's summer storms crowded the forecast, the Srixon Prestige Tour crowned champions at the Space City Challenge at Magnolia Creek Golf Club. Over the course of two days, our junior golfers showed their determination and talent despite the weather in an extremely competitive field.


We would also like to congratulate four of our competitors for earning their "Last Chance" qualifying spots into The Insperity Tour Championship next week: Joslyn Born, Viktoria Germain, Cody Michals, and Cooper Hwang!

Nolan Randall Claims Boys 15–18 Title at the Space City Challenge


Nolan Randall delivered an impressive performance throughout the tournament, carding ten birdies to secure him the Boys 15-18 Title. He shot 71 in Round 1, leading the field, before improving on his score by three strokes in Round 2 to keep in first place. Nolan also earned an exemption to the 2026 Texas Junior Golf Alliance Invitational on the Legends Junior Tour!

Emma Zinuik Claims Girls 15-18 & Overall Title at the Space City Challenge


Emma Ziniuk stayed level despite the conditions, leading her to the Girls 15-18 and Overall victory. By shooting 2-under par, she led the field by three strokes to come away with the win. With her performance this week, she will have the chance to compete in the Texas Junior Golf Alliance Invitational on the Legends Junior Tour.

Dakota Ybarra Claims Boys 11-14 Title at the Space City Challenge


Dakota Ybarra's four birdies (T-1 in his division) gave him the win in a competitive Boys 11-14 Division. His even play at Magnolia Creek kept him one stroke ahead of his competitors at the tournament.

Chloe Magwe Claims Girls 11-14 Title at the Space City Challenge


Chloe Magwe came away with the victory in a close Girls 11-14 field at the Space City Challenge. Her four birdies and 12 pars, both of which led her division, gave her a two-stroke lead over her competitors.

Junior golfers played through the Houston heat and completed 36 holes of competitive golf, showcasing their skills and drive in another successful event. New Braunfels, TX (August 15-16, 2026) – The Srixon Prestige Tour traveled to New Braunfels, Texas, for the Surf & Turf New Braunfels Showcase at Landa Park Golf Course, where players took on a competitive two-day championship. With great weather throughout the event, the field had ideal conditions to showcase their skills and battle for the top spots. Players delivered strong performances from start to finish, with steady play and impressive moments shaping the leaderboard across both rounds. As the competition came down to the final holes, the talented field once again showcased the skill, determination and competitive spirit that define the Srixon Prestige Tour. Spring, TX - Summer may be winding down, but there is still plenty of golf ahead at the Southern Texas PGA! With opportunities to qualify for Team STPGA, championship events, Drive, Chip & Putt competition and more than 100 events remaining across STPGA Junior Golf programs, the fall season is set to be an exciting one. Qualify for the Bayou Cup The road to the Bayou Cup continues this fall as junior golfers compete for the opportunity to represent Team STPGA. Players still have opportunities to earn their spot and compete alongside some of the top junior golfers in Southern Texas. Below are the upcoming events where players can earn an exemption toward a spot on Team STPGA for this year’s Bayou Cup.
