February 16, 2026 • Southern Texas PGA

Great things for girls’ golf. A unique experience. Opportunities you can only find by playing STPGA Junior Golf.

SPRING, TX (February 17, 2026) -  The Southern Texas PGA Junior Golf program is proud to announce the return of one of its most impactful opportunities for female junior golfers during the 2026 season. Now entering its fourth year, this signature experience continues to grow with 2026 marking the first year the program will award FOUR EXEMPTIONS instead of two, expanding access and opportunity for STPGA juniors.

Through this initiative, four female STPGA junior golfers will earn the chance to compete in the Junior Legacy Pro-Am, a signature program of The Chevron Championship, THE LPGA's first major of the year!

Hosted by LPGA legend Amy Alcott, the Junior Legacy Pro-Am is designed to inspire the next generation of female golfers by providing an unforgettable experience on a major championship course.

“This is all about junior golf and inspiring the next generation.”
— Amy Alcott

The Junior Legacy Pro-Am provides junior female golfers with a unique opportunity to play alongside some of the most accomplished players and mentors in LPGA history. The program furthers Chevron’s commitment to creating access and opportunity by allowing juniors to compete on an LPGA major championship venue, build relationships with LPGA legends, and network with leaders in business and the golf industry.

For the first time, four exemptions into the Junior Legacy Pro-Am will be awarded to top finishers at:

This doubles the number of STPGA junior golfers who will have the chance to experience this premier event. The victors will share the legacy with the previous winners, Carolyn Lui and Stella Northcott (2025), Carolyn Lui and Katelyn Allen (2024), and Syna Nijhawan and Mary Kerr (2023).

Taking place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas, the Junior Legacy Pro-Am represents the continued growth of an opportunity now in its fourth year and expanding to include four exemptions for STPGA junior golfers. By connecting elite junior competition with mentorship, professional insight, and championship-level experiences, the Southern Texas PGA continues to create pathways that inspire, empower, and elevate the next generation of female golfers.

The Southern Texas PGA would like to thank The Chevron Championship for including the STPGA Junior Golf program in this event and wish all female golfers good luck during these 4 Srixon Prestige Tour events. The overall winner of the girls division will be the individual that earns the exemption to play on April 19.
