Plenty of Golf Still This Fall at the STPGA!

Spring, TX - Summer may be winding down, but there is still plenty of golf ahead at the Southern Texas PGA! With opportunities to qualify for Team STPGA, championship events, Drive, Chip & Putt competition and more than 100 events remaining across STPGA Junior Golf programs, the fall season is set to be an exciting one.


Qualify for the Bayou Cup


The road to the Bayou Cup continues this fall as junior golfers compete for the opportunity to represent Team STPGA. Players still have opportunities to earn their spot and compete alongside some of the top junior golfers in Southern Texas. Below are the upcoming events where players can earn an exemption toward a spot on Team STPGA for this year’s Bayou Cup.


Boys 15-18:

- Surf & Turf New Braunfels Showcase (August 15-16, 2026)

- Boys 15-18 Points List Leader (as of October 1, 2026)

Boys 11-14:

- Antigua Sun City Showdown (September 26-27, 2026)

- Boys 11-14 Points List Leader (as of October 1, 2026)

Girls 11-18:

- Antigua Sun City Showdown (September 26-27, 2026)

- Girls 11-18 Points List Leader (as of October 1, 2026)


The Bayou Cup is always a highlight on the STPGA Junior Golf calendar, giving players the opportunity to represent Southern Texas in a team competition and create memories both on and off the course.

Fall Championship Ahead


Another major event still to come is the STPGA Fall Championship, set for December 12-13, 2026 at Horseshoe Bay Resort. The Fall Championship brings together junior golfers from across Southern Texas for one of the final championship events of the year. Players will have the opportunity to close out their season with strong competition and compete for a championship title.

Good Luck at Drive, Chip & Putt Regionals!


The STPGA also wishes the best of luck to all Southern Texas junior golfers advancing to the Drive, Chip & Putt Regional Qualifier on September 19, 2026 at Southern Hills Country Club!


After advancing through local and subregional qualifying, these players are one step closer to earning the opportunity to compete at the Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals at Augusta National Golf Club.

Team STPGA Heads to the Texas Junior Cup Matches


Our Ryder Cup-style team golf also continues this fall as Team STPGA prepares to compete in the Texas Junior Cup Matches on September 18-29, 2026 at Sand Hill Farm.


Representing Southern Texas is an incredible accomplishment, and we wish all of our Team STPGA players the best of luck as they compete against some of the top junior golfers from across the state.

More Than 100 Events Still to Come


The biggest events are only part of what remains on the calendar. With more than 100 weekend events still to be played this fall, there are plenty of opportunities for junior golfers of all ages and skill levels to get on the course.


From Little Linksters and Junior Links to the Junior Tour and Srixon Prestige Tour, STPGA Junior Golf will continue providing competitive opportunities throughout Southern Texas for the remainder of the year.


Whether players are chasing a championship, looking to qualify for their next big event or simply hoping to tee it up a few more times before the end of the year, there is still plenty of golf left in 2026.

PT Recap: Antigua Sun City Showdown

Georgetown, TX (September 26-27, 2026) – Fall competition continued in Georgetown, Texas, as the Srixon Prestige Tour took over White Wing Golf Club for the Antigua Sun City Showdown. Across two rounds of play, juniors navigated the course and battled for the top spots on the leaderboard. By the end of the weekend, four division champions emerged, adding their names to the list of Srixon Prestige Tour winners this season. Congratulations to Tiffany Wong on a strong showing at the Antigua Sun City Showdown! With her performance, Wong earned exemptions into both the 2026 Texas Junior Golf Alliance Invitational and the 2027 Texas Junior Girls’ Invitational on the Legends Junior Tour. A big thank you to White Wing Golf Club, all of our players and parents, our Title Partner Srixon, and Antigua, the Title Sponsor of the event for helping make the weekend a memorable one. Team NTPGA Captures 15th Annual Texas Junior Cup Matches at Sand Hill Farm

WALLER, TEXAS (SEPTEMBER 21, 2026) - One of the most highly anticipated junior golf events of the year wrapped up on Sunday as Team Northern Texas PGA defeated Team Southern Texas PGA by a score of 14 to 10 at the 15th Annual Texas Junior Cup Matches. The opening round of Mixed Four-Ball was an evenly-matched thriller, with Team NTPGA holding a narrow lead at 3.5 to 2.5 going into the afternoon Scramble Matches. There, the scoring gap opened up, giving Team NTPGA a more comfortable margin of 9-3 going into Sunday’s matches. Team STPGA did not go down without a fight, winning seven of the Singles Matches in the final round of competition. However, Northern Texas secured their third consecutive title with five victories on the day, bringing the tournament to the 14-10 final score. “Over the years, the Texas Junior Cup Matches have found a special place in the hearts of so many people,” Director of Junior Golf J.T. Milner said. “For the junior golfers and their families, the Matches have become a special part of their junior golf journey.” The event, held at Sand Hill Farm in Waller, TX, features 24 of the top junior golfers across the state aged 12 and under in a Ryder Cup-style format. On Friday, players and families participated in practice rounds and opening ceremonies before heading into two full days of competitive golf. Saturday featured 9-hole Mixed Four-Ball and Scramble Matches, while Sunday concluded the event with 9-hole Singles Matches. Sand Hill Farm once again was a spectacular host for the Matches. The unique 9-hole private course was created by the Tucker family, founders of Mustang Cat, and designed by former professional golfer Peter Jacobsen. We are grateful to the Tucker family for their continued support of this event, allowing us to give our junior golfers top-tier experiences. The Matches wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and dedication of our Captains and Vice Captains on both sides. Chad Moscovic, PGA led the victorious NTPGA team after filling the role of Vice Captain in the 2025 Matches, backed by Kim Paez, PGA. On the STPGA side, Jennifer MacCurrach, PGA provided guidance for the team, backed by David Pilsner, PGA. Both sides were instrumental in building an atmosphere of teamwork, camaraderie, and sportsmanship. “While the competition brings together some of the best junior golfers in Texas for inspired play on the course, the Matches are about so much more than just golf,” Milner said. “They give players the opportunity to meet new people, build lifelong friendships, and create memories with their families that go far beyond the competition itself.” With the victory, Team NTPGA holds the all-time series record at 7-5-1 and celebrates its third straight championship in the Matches’ history.

Bandera, TX (September 19-20, 2026) – The Srixon Prestige Tour made its way to Bandera, Texas, for the Cowboy Cup at Flying L Ranch, where players took on two days of competitive golf in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. With another opportunity to add a Prestige Tour title to their season, juniors battled throughout the weekend and delivered strong performances across each division. As the fall season continues, the Cowboy Cup provided another exciting stop on the Srixon Prestige Tour schedule.
