Spring, TX - Summer may be winding down, but there is still plenty of golf ahead at the Southern Texas PGA! With opportunities to qualify for Team STPGA, championship events, Drive, Chip & Putt competition and more than 100 events remaining across STPGA Junior Golf programs, the fall season is set to be an exciting one.


Qualify for the Bayou Cup


The road to the Bayou Cup continues this fall as junior golfers compete for the opportunity to represent Team STPGA. Players still have opportunities to earn their spot and compete alongside some of the top junior golfers in Southern Texas. Below are the upcoming events where players can earn an exemption toward a spot on Team STPGA for this year’s Bayou Cup.


Boys 15-18:

- Surf & Turf New Braunfels Showcase (August 15-16, 2026)

- Boys 15-18 Points List Leader (as of October 1, 2026)

Boys 11-14:

- Antigua Sun City Showdown (September 26-27, 2026)

- Boys 11-14 Points List Leader (as of October 1, 2026)

Girls 11-18:

- Antigua Sun City Showdown (September 26-27, 2026)

The Bayou Cup is always a highlight on the STPGA Junior Golf calendar, giving players the opportunity to represent Southern Texas in a team competition and create memories both on and off the course.

Fall Championship Ahead


Another major event still to come is the STPGA Fall Championship, set for December 12-13,, 2026 at Horseshoe Bay Resort. The Fall Championship brings together junior golfers from across Southern Texas for one of the final championship events of the year. Players will have the opportunity to close out their season with strong competition and compete for a championship title.

The STPGA also wishes the best of luck to all Southern Texas junior golfers advancing to the Drive, Chip & Putt Regional Qualifier on September 19, 2026 at Southern Hills Country Club!


After advancing through local and subregional qualifying, these players are one step closer to earning the opportunity to compete at the Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals at Augusta National Golf Club.

Team STPGA Heads to the Texas Junior Cup Matches


Our Ryder Cup-style team golf also continues this fall as Team STPGA prepares to compete in the Texas Junior Cup Matches on September 18-29, 2026 at Sand Hill Farm.


Representing Southern Texas is an incredible accomplishment, and we wish all of our Team STPGA players the best of luck as they compete against some of the top junior golfers from across the state.

More Than 100 Events Still to Come


The biggest events are only part of what remains on the calendar. With more than 100 weekend events still to be played this fall, there are plenty of opportunities for junior golfers of all ages and skill levels to get on the course.


From Little Linksters and Junior Links to the Junior Tour and Srixon Prestige Tour, STPGA Junior Golf will continue providing competitive opportunities throughout Southern Texas for the remainder of the year.


Whether players are chasing a championship, looking to qualify for their next big event or simply hoping to tee it up a few more times before the end of the year, there is still plenty of golf left in 2026.

Cypress, TX (August 10-11, 2026) – The Srixon Prestige Tour stayed in Houston for the STPGA Challenge at BlackHorse Golf Club, where players took on a competitive two-day championship. Round one brought challenging conditions and rain delays, but the field remained focused and made the most of every opportunity once play resumed. Despite the interruptions, players delivered strong performances throughout the opening round before returning for day two ready to finish strong. From steady play to clutch moments down the stretch, the talented field once again showcased the resilience and determination that define the Srixon Prestige Tour. 307 Junior Golfers from across Southern Texas earned their way to the Championship after playing in countless events all summer long. THE WOODLANDS, TX (AUGUST 6, 2026) - The Southern Texas PGA Junior Golf Program wrapped up the summer season for 2026 with a record-breaking 307 player field at the annual STPGA Junior Championship. Hosted at The Woodlands Country Club – Palmer Course for the 13th time, 15 Champions were crowned across our three programs of Little Linksters, Junior Links, and Junior Tour. The extraordinary talent and sportsmanship on display all week long serve as an ongoing inspiration for aspiring junior golfers. The event started with a bang with the yearly “Carnival Day” on Monday, giving our junior golfers and families the opportunity to have some summertime fun before the competition began. In true carnival fashion, there were so many activities that it was hard to hit everything!

Blanco, TX (August 3-4, 2026) – The Srixon Prestige Tour traveled to Blanco, Texas, for the Creekside Clash at Vaaler Creek Golf Club, where players took on a challenging two-day championship in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. The talented field showcased steady play, low scores, and clutch performances throughout the tournament, with competitors battling until the final holes. As the summer season rolls on, these juniors continued to demonstrate the skill, determination, and resilience that define the Srixon Prestige Tour. Good Evening Players, Parents, & Family Friends, July crowned a new King and Queen of the Srixon Prestige Tour The Insperity Tour Championship They came. They saw. They conquered. The third edition of The Insperity Tour Championship has officially come to a close, and it delivered everything you could ask for in a championship. Birdies. Comebacks. Pressure-packed moments. Clutch performances. Two days of incredible junior golf set against the spectacular backdrop of Boot Ranch. Elliot Cope of Spicewood, Texas, showed exactly what champions are made of. Trailing by four shots entering the final round, Elliot never flinched. He fired a brilliant 3-under 68, erased the deficit, and pulled away to win the Boys Division by two strokes in one of the most impressive comeback performances of the season. On the Girls side, Ava Frazier of Austin, Texas, left no doubt. After opening with a spectacular 5-under 66 to build a three-shot lead, she refused to let up. Ava backed it up with another stellar round of 3-under 68 to finish the championship at an incredible 8-under par and capture the Girls Division title in commanding fashion. With their victories, Elliot and Ava earned full exempt status on the Legends Junior Tour from September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2027, along with an invitation to the Greenwood Cup Junior Invitational and a place on Team STPGA for the second Bayou Cup Matches. A big thank you goes to Alex Rhyne, PGA Head Golf Professional, and the entire staff at Boot Ranch for their outstanding hospitality and commitment to excellence. Their incredible support and first-class venue made the 2026 The Insperity Tour Championship an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. Srixon Prestige Tour Champions - July July kicked off in spectacular fashion for the Srixon Prestige Tour as the season heated up at the Battle on the River Bend at Lost Pines Golf Club in Bastrop. Dawson Dial of Cedar Park, TX, wasted no time taking control, firing an opening-round 69 to build a commanding five-shot lead before cruising to his first career Boys 11–14 victory. In the Boys 15–18 Division, Townes Brower of Round Rock, TX, outdueled a stacked leaderboard to capture his first career Prestige Tour title. Pippa Fikes of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX, continued her incredible season, closing with a second-round 70 to secure her third Overall Girls victory of the year and further cement herself as one of the Tour's hottest players. The Tour then headed east to Magnolia Creek Golf Club in League City for the Space City Challenge , where heavy rain and challenging conditions tested every player in the field. Despite Mother Nature's best efforts, the competition never slowed. Dakota Ybarra of Baytown, TX, caught fire with three back-nine birdies in the opening round to earn his first career Boys 11–14 victory. Nolan Randall of Deer Park, TX, delivered one of the best rounds of the week, firing a brilliant second-round 68 to separate himself from the field and claim his first career Boys 15–18 title. Emma Ziniuk of Magnolia, TX, showcased her consistency with four birdies in the opening round, earning her second Overall Girls victory of the season and the third of her Prestige Tour career. While the rain fell in League City, another battle was unfolding in San Antonio at the Sunshine and Swing Challenge at Hill Country Golf Club. The Boys 11–14 Division needed extra holes to decide a champion, where Oliver Stordal of Austin, TX, emerged victorious on the second playoff hole to capture his first career Prestige Tour win. Marco Baima of Boerne, TX continued his dominant season, tallying five birdies over 27 holes to earn his fourth Boys 15–18 victory of the year. On the Girls side, Ava Frazier of Austin, TX, put together a performance to remember, pulling away from the field with a commanding 12-shot victory to claim her first Overall Girls title of the season and the third of her career. July came to an exciting close in Houston at the Prestige Tour Open at Bentwater Yacht & Country Club, where standout performances capped off another thrilling weekend of championship golf. Pablo Mora of The Woodlands, TX fired an even-par final round to capture his first Boys 11–14 title of the season and the second victory of his Prestige Tour career. In the Boys 15–18 Division, Ryan Lopez of Houston, TX put on a clinic with a bogey-free 67 to earn his first win of the year and second career Prestige Tour title. Lora Kim of Katy, TX showcased remarkable consistency with matching rounds of 74 to claim her second Overall Girls victory of the season and the fourth Prestige Tour win of her career. 2026 Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches The 11th annual Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches kick off this Monday, August 3rd at Dallas Athletic Club. 12 of the best Srixon Prestige Tour players are primed to represent Team STPGA and bring home the Ben Hogan Junior Cup for the third year in a row.
