PT Recap: Alamo City Shootout

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (April 1 -2, 2023) - The Alamo City Shootout was held this weekend at the historic Brackenridge Park Golf Course. With 126 of our Srixon Billiard Factory Prestige Tour golfers teeing it up, we had two days of great golf.



In the Overall Girls Division, Danica Lundgren of Austin, maintained her lead over the Girls through both her rounds. Shooting a Round One (-2) 70, Danica had a two-stroke lead going into the final round. Feeding off of Round One, Danica finished carding a tournament total of (-8) 136. She had a total of 12 birdies through both rounds and had a bogey free final round. This was Danica’s third Prestige Tour victory since joining the STPGA in 2015. 



In the Overall Boys Division, John Solis of Laredo, finished Round One with a (-2) 69, landing himself tied for sixth, with a three-stroke deficit from the lead. For his final round he climbed the leaderboard and ultimately walked away the champion. He carded a final round (-7) 64, which was bogey free and  included 7 birdies. This was John’s second Prestige Tour win since becoming a member of the STPGA in 2018, and first of the 2023 season.

A staple on the Prestige Tour schedule since 2014, this event continues to be a favorite among players and families alike. Surrounded by the beautiful Texas Hill Country, the course’s scenic views and challenging design set the stage for two exciting days of competition, sportsmanship, and memorable moments.
