PT Recap: Fredericksburg Open

FREDERICKSBURG, TEXAS (October 28-29, 2023) - The Srixon Billiard Factory Prestige Tour along with Lady Bird Johnson GC held the Fredericksburg Open this past weekend. The 36-hole tournament consisting of 85 players across both the girls and boys divisions was a battle to the finish line. The two champions earned a spot in the 2024 Texas Girls/Texas Cup Invitational!

Lewie Melton, a Fredericksburg local, secured his first ever Prestige Tour victory! After Round one, Melton was one stoke behind the lead finishing with a solid score of 67 (-4). He was steady in round two shooting a 73 (-2) that put him into a playoff against Cameron Villarreal. Melton came out on top after one playoff hole, he ended the day with score of 140 (-2) and a spot in the Texas Cup Invitational.

Saahi Naraharasetty, out of Cedar Park, had a dominant performance in the girls division. Naraharasetty shot a 69 (-2) and carded five birdies in round one to find herself two strokes ahead of the field going into round two. She finished out the tournament with a second round 71 (E) for a total of  140 (-2) to secure the win!

Houston, TX (June 23-24) - After battling blazing sun, lighting watches and tough greens, the STPGA Prestige Tour players completed two rounds at Westwood Golf Club with 4 eagles and 414 birdies total.

The Boys & Girls Junior PGA Championships (#1) showcased the impressive skill and competitiveness of top junior golfers in the STPGA. The boys teed it up for a 36-hole battle at the iconic Quarry Golf Course in San Antonio, TX sponsored by Frost Bank, while the girls brought the heat to Flying L Ranch Golf Club in Bandera, TX. Both events were filled with exciting play, strong sportsmanship, and memorable moments that set the tone for an action-packed summer season.
