PT Recap: VCVB South Texas Showcase

VICTORIA, TEXAS (October 21-22, 2023) - The Srixon Billiard Factory Prestige Tour along with Victoria Country Club held the VCVB South Texas Showcase this past weekend. The 36-hole tournament consisting of 67 players across both the girls and boys divisions was a battle to the finish line. The two champions earned a spot in the Texas Girls/Texas Cup Invitational!

Cameron Villarreal, out of San Antonio, had a dominant performance in the boys division. After falling behind by one stroke after round one, Villarreal had a big second day going low on the back nine, shooting (-6) for a total of 66. Cameron lead the event in birdies with a tournament total of 10. He came from behind to take home the win with a total score of 138 (-6).

Emily Zhang, out of Katy, secured the win in the girls division. Zhang shot a 79 (+7) in round one to find herself six strokes off the lead going into round two. She fired a second round 70 (-2) for a total of 149 (+5) to come from behind and capture the lead.

Houston, TX (February 14-15, 2026) – The Srixon Prestige Tour continued in Houston this past weekend as Gus Wortham Park Golf Course played host to the 2026 Battle in the Big City. Rescheduled from the weekend of January 24-25 due to cold weather, junior golfers had a much better forecast this time around.
