PT Recap: Houston Junior Classic

Houston, TX (February 3-4 , 2024) - The Houston Junior Classic prestige Tour was held this past weekend at Gus Wortham Golf Course located in the heart of Houston. Our second Srixon Billard Prestige Tour event started off with some weather delays, but ended in sunny skies!

James Devore of Porter, TX led the field by one after shooting a strong round of 68 (-3) in the shotgun start on day one. On day two Devore shot a(+5) 76, which took him into a playoff. After one hole James claimed the victory to win this tournament in back-to-back years!

Bowen Lan of Austin, TX shot a (+2) 73 on day one to trail by two going into the second round. She came back to the top of the leaderboard on day two after shooting a (+4) 75 and ultimately took the win by four strokes!

Surrounded by the beautiful Texas Hill Country, the course’s scenic views and challenging design set the stage for two exciting days of competition, sportsmanship, and memorable moments.
