San Antonio, TX (January 27-28, 2024) - The
Alamo City Shootout Prestige Tour was held at Olmos Basin Golf Course for the first tournament of 2024. The players performed in cold and windy conditions, but powered through to ultimately become the first champions of the 2024 season.
Henry Talarico of Austin, TX shot an even par 72 in the first round on day one. On day two it came down to the wire as he was tied with another competitor and made an eagle on the 18th hole to shoot a (+1) 73 and secure the victory. Talarico posted a 145 (+1) for the two day tournament and earned his second Prestige Tour title.
Harper Edwards from Victoria, Texas secured her fifth Prestige Tour win in the first tournament of the 2024 season. The high school senior posted a (+2) 72 in round one and led the field by four strokes going into the final round. She shot a (+3) 75 to win her divison by five stokes and secure the victory!
