Operations Interns
Jackson Stanley
Hi my name is Jackson Stanley. I'm from Uniontown, Ohio and currently a senior at Kent State University studying Sports Administration. I have interned in the past for Kent State Football in the recruiting department and Akron Rubberducks in ticketing. I enjoy traveling, watching movies, and being around sports. I found my interest in golf operations working at country clubs throughout high school and college. I took this great opportunity to gain more experience and make great connections in this field. I can't wait to get started this spring!
Matthew Jones
Howdy y'all, my name is Matthew Jones and I was born and raised just North of Houston in Magnolia, TX. I am graduating from Texas A&M this May with a Bachelors of Science in Sport Management with a Minor in Business. Throughout college I was apart of various orgs such as Sports Management Society and Aggie Men's Alliance. I started playing golf when I was 3 years old and I grew up playing in the STPGA Little Linksters, Junior Tour, and Prestige Tour divisions, as well as other forms of competitive golf which ultimately led me to this internship. I really wanted to pursue this internship for operations experience, but also to give kids and members the experiences I had growing up.
Casey Lawrence
Hi, y'all! My name is Casey, and I am from Houston, TX. I received my B.A. in Mass Communication and M.S. in Sport Management from Sam Houston State University. Prior to joining Southern Texas PGA, I have worked in partnerships for Bearkat Athletics as well as event activations for the Houston Texans. I'm excited to learn about the business side of golf and how to run the tournaments. Outside work, I enjoy photography, spending time with friends and family, and playing golf. I look forward to seeing how I grow throughout the spring!
Digital Media Interns
Rachel Fisch
Hi y'all! My name is Rachel and I'm originally from Ringoes, New Jersey but I'm currently living in The Woodlands, TX! I recently graduated from Hofstra University with a bachelor's degree in Journalism with a Sports Media concentration. During my time at college, I was a Social Media Intern with the New York Riptide (National Lacrosse League), involved with a sorority (Alpha Phi) and fraternity (Zeta Phi Eta), member of the radio station (WRHU)/ television station (HEAT Network) and an athlete on the cheerleading team! In my spare time, I enjoy trying new workout classes, going for long walks and spending time with friends and family! I am a returning intern from the fall, I can't wait to expand on the experience the STPGA has given me!
Emily Allen
Hi, my name is Emily Allen. I was born and raised in Houston and I am a senior at the University of Houston earning my bachelors degree in Marketing, I was involved in the Business Women's Society for two years. I grew up knowing the game of golf through my father, Tony Allen. The game has built special memories with my dad that I will cherish. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my friends/family and my dogs, workout with my sister, and watch the Houston Texans and Astros. Fun fact, during my time on my high school's dance team, my team and I got to participate in the performance during the 2017 SuperBowl with Lady Gaga. I am beyond excited for this opportunity to learn more about the business of golf while gaining more skills about digital media from the Southern Texas PGA.
