PT Recap: PGA TOUR Superstore Prestige Tour Open

MONTGOMERY, TEXAS (July 10-11, 2023) – The PGA TOUR Superstore Prestige Tour Open was held early this week at Bentwater Yacht & Country Club - Weiskopf Course. A total of 152 golfers teed up for the Srixon Billiard Factory Prestige Tour for two days of fun golf.


In the Overall Girls Division, Bomyeong Lee of Huntsville, maintained her lead over the girls through both her rounds. Shooting a Round One 71 (-1), Bomyeong was tied for first going into the final round. Overall, Bomyeong finished carding an impressive tournament total of 143 (-1), ending the tour with eight birdies. After claiming the overall division title, Bomyeong earned an exemption into the 2023 Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches at Shady Oaks Country Club in Austin. She also earned an exemption into the Texas Junior Golf Alliance Invitational. This was Bomyeong’s third Prestige Tour victory since joining the STPGA in 2022.



In the Overall Boys Division, Ryan Griff of Bulverde, finished Round One with a 71 (-1), landing himself in second place with a three-stroke deficit from the lead. For his final round he climbed the leaderboard and ultimately walked away the champion. He carded a final round of 72 (E), with a tournament total of 11 birdies. After claiming the overall division title, Ryan earned an exemption into the 2023 Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches at Shady Oaks Country Club in August. He also earned an exemption into the Texas Junior Golf Alliance Invitational. This was Ryan’s first ever Prestige Tour win since becoming a member of the STPGA in 2016.

Lost Pines, TX(June 16-17) - In the beautiful city of Lost Pines, TX, the Srixon Prestige Tour hosted the 2025 Bluebonnet Classic at Lost Pines Golf Course. With stunning scenery also came some challenges, but our Champions overcame it all to win!

San Antonio, TX & Bandera, TX (June 9-10, 2025) - The Srixon Prestige Tour had the honor of hosting two prestigious events simultaneously this week in the San Antonio metro area, highlighting the depth of junior golf talent across the region. The Boys & Girls Junior PGA Championships (#1) showcased the impressive skill and competitiveness of top junior golfers in the STPGA. The boys teed it up for a 36-hole battle at the iconic Quarry Golf Course in San Antonio, TX sponsored by Frost Bank, while the girls brought the heat to Flying L Ranch Golf Club in Bandera, TX. Both events were filled with exciting play, strong sportsmanship, and memorable moments that set the tone for an action-packed summer season.

Houston, TX (June 2-3, 2025) - The Srixon Prestige Tour hosted the 2025 Space City Challenge at the Wildcat Golf Club's Highlands Course, playing alongside beautiful views of the Houston skyline. While the course provided many challenges, including wide open areas with high winds and plenty of ravines, the juniors were able to play a complete 36 hole match.
