SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (June 28-29, 2023) – The Girls Southern Texas Jr. PGA Championship #2 was held this week at Canyon Springs Golf Club. A field size of only 50 players across the two days of play would make for an incredible competition.

In the 15-18 Girls Division, Maelynn Kim of Katy, would be one stroke behind the leader after the first round with a score of 72 (E). Maelynn's consistent play would be a key factor in her success throughout the tournament and eventually place her as champion. Maelynn who has been an STPGA Junior Golf Member since 2014 and posting a tournament total of 72-73–145 (+1) winning her second Prestige Tour event in her career.

In the 13-14 Girls Division, Carly Marshall had a similar story to Maelynn. Carly wasn't the leader after the first round and was two strokes behind going into the final round. Carly would go on to post a tournament total score of 74-78–152 (+8) and secure the victory and become the Girls 13-14 Champion. This is Carly's second Prestige Tour win of her career since being an STPGA Junior Member since 2017 and second win of this Prestige Tour season.

Notable highlight from the round would be Michaela Partridge with a Hole-in-One on Hole 7.
