PT Recap: PGA Tour Superstore Summer Showdown

Boerne, TX (June 3-4, 2024) - This week the Srixon Billiard Factory Prestige Tour hosted The PGA Tour Superstore Summer Showdown at The Resort Course at Tapatio Springs. Both champions used this win to clinch their spot in the 2024 Texas Junior Amateur!

Faith Tufono from San Antonio, TX earned her first Prestige Tour victory of the 2024 season and second overall. Her game remained consistent over the two days, shooting a (+5) 76 the first day and a (+2) 73 the second day. Tufono was able to overcome the windy conditions and secure her win by staying focused and capitalizing with her short game. Her overall score of (+7) 149 secured her a spot at The 2024 Texas Junior Amateur!

Luke Frey of Austin, TX secured his win at the tournament by playing very clean golf between both days. In round one he had three birdies and made par on most holes which allowed him to finish (E) 171. Round two is where he separated himself from the field, carding seven birdies on the day, bringing his score to (-5) 66. Frey claimed his win with an overall score of (-5) 137. This win earned Luke a spot to play in the 2024 Texas Junior Amateur.

San Antonio, TX & Bandera, TX (June 9-10, 2025) - The Srixon Prestige Tour had the honor of hosting two prestigious events simultaneously this week in the San Antonio metro area, highlighting the depth of junior golf talent across the region. The Boys & Girls Junior PGA Championships (#1) showcased the impressive skill and competitiveness of top junior golfers in the STPGA. The boys teed it up for a 36-hole battle at the iconic Quarry Golf Course in San Antonio, TX sponsored by Frost Bank, while the girls brought the heat to Flying L Ranch Golf Club in Bandera, TX. Both events were filled with exciting play, strong sportsmanship, and memorable moments that set the tone for an action-packed summer season.

PT Recap: Space City Challenge

Houston, TX (June 2-3, 2025) - The Srixon Prestige Tour hosted the 2025 Space City Challenge at the Wildcat Golf Club's Highlands Course, playing alongside beautiful views of the Houston skyline. While the course provided many challenges, including wide open areas with high winds and plenty of ravines, the juniors were able to play a complete 36 hole match.
