Sugar Land, TX (June 3-4, 2024) - This week the Srixon Billiard Factory Prestige Tour hosted the Girls Southern Texas Jr PGA Championship #1 at Sugar Creek Country Club. Both of our champions added another Prestige Tour win to their list of accolades.
Veronika Exposito from The Woodlands, TX claimed her first Prestige tour win of the 2024 season. She started out strong on day one with a (-4) 68 and closed out the tournament by shooting a (-2) 70 on day two. Exposito ended the tournament with a six shot lead, bringing her to an overall score of (-6) 138. This win ensured her a spot at an additional two tournaments including the 2024 Girls Junior PGA Championship and the 2024 Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches!
Carolyn Liu from Katy, TX added her seventh Prestige Tour win in the 13-14 age division to her resume! Liu began under par on day one with a score of (-1) 71 and ended off day two with a (+3) 75. She shot a total score of (+2) 146 over the two days, bringing her to fifth overall for the tournament.
