SPRING, TEXAS (August 7 -8, 2023) -
The Vortech Contracting Championship was held at the beginning of this week at the Cypresswood Golf Club (Tradition Course). With 136 of our Srixon Billiard Factory Prestige Tour golfers teeing it up, we had two days of great golf.
In the Overall Boys Division, Gabriel Garson-Goroway of Missouri City, finished Round One with a (-5) 67, landing himself a one-stroke lead going into Day 2. Gabriel finished the tournament shooting a total of (-6) 138, with 8 birdies, he walked away the champion. This was also Gabriel’s first Prestige Tour win since becoming a member of the STPGA in 2014.
In the Overall Girls Division, Kara Holm of Missouri City, maintained her lead over the Girls through both her rounds. Shooting a Round One (-3) 69, Kara had a five-stroke lead going into the final round. Feeding off of Round One, Kara finished carding a tournament total of (-1) 143. She had a total of 8 birdies through both rounds and this was Kara’s first Prestige Tour victory since joining the STPGA in 2020.
