SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (August 12-13, 2023)- The Clicgear Championship was held this past weekend at The Golf Club of Texas. A total of 132 golfers battled it out to be crowned the Srixon Billiard Factory Prestige Tour champion.

In the Overall Girls Division, Destiny McNeil of Castroville was tied for second place after recording a Round One 72 (E). She walked away a champion after carding 70 (-2) in the second round. With her win, Destiny earned an exemption into the Texas Junior Golf Alliance Invitational in October at Sulphur Spring Country Club. This was Destiny’s fifth Prestige Tour win since joining the STPGA in 2019.

In the Overall Boys Division, Peyton Patterson of Houston was tied for sixth place at the end of Round One. Peyton carded 72 (E) and 70 (-2) after rounds one and two, respectively. He climbed the leaderboard and took home the win with a tournament total of 142 (-2). The win earned Peyton an exemption into the Texas Junior Golf Alliance Invitational in October at Sulphur Spring Country Club. This was Peyton’s first ever Prestige Tour win since joining the STPGA in 2021.
Fun Fact! Girls overall winner, Destiny McNeil’s older sister Abigail McNeil was the captain of Team STPGA at the Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches.
