11th Ben Hogan Cup Announcement - Quest to Retain the Cup Starts Now!

Exemptions, event schedule, and host site announced today! 

SPRING,TX (MARCH 26, 2026) – The Southern Texas PGA is excited to announce, in partnership with the Northern Texas PGA the 11th annual Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches, set to take place August 3–4, 2026 at Dallas Athletic Club. Returning to a venue that previously hosted the matches in 2020, Dallas Athletic Club offers a championship-caliber setting with a rich tradition of excellence. Its premier courses once again provide the perfect stage for this prestigious event, bringing together top junior talent for an unforgettable competition.


The Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches is an annual competition between the Southern Texas and Northern Texas PGA Junior Tours' top six boys and top six girls ages 11-18. The Ryder Cup-style format features 18-hole Four-Ball and 9-hole Foursomes Matches on the first day followed by 18-hole Singles Matches on the final day.


Now is the time to look over our schedule and mark down these important events where the STPGA Team will be formed. All spots on the STPGA Team will come from Srixon Prestige Tour events starting in late May and running through the end of June. The winner of each of these events will earn a spot on the team.

Please note that for the second straight year, one spot is specifically held for the Boys 11-14 Division as we continue to see growth within this demographic during Srixon Prestige Tour events.

PT Recap: Visit Lake Charles Spring Classic

Lake Charles, LA (March 21-22, 2026) – The Srixon Prestige Tour continued its spring season with the Visit Lake Charles Spring Classic, held in Lake Charles, Louisiana, as junior golfers competed in another exciting event. With great weather throughout the tournament, players were able to showcase their skills and shot-making ability across both rounds, delivering a strong and competitive field from start to finish. This year marked our fourth time returning to Lake Charles, a community that continues to provide an outstanding championship setting for our junior golfers. It also marked our fourth year partnering with the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour and PGA Gulf States, a collaboration that continues to grow the game and create valuable opportunities for players across the region. A big thank you to Contraband Bayou Golf Club, our players and parents, Visit Lake Charles, the LJGT, our Title Partner Srixon, and all of our staff who helped make the tournament a success. Cypress, TX (March 16-17, 2026) – The Srixon Prestige Tour continued its spring season with the Rocket City Open, held March 16–17, as junior golfers took on a competitive field in another exciting Monday–Tuesday event. Battling through challenging conditions, players faced strong winds and cold temperatures that tested their resilience and shot-making across both rounds. Despite the harsh weather, the event showcased incredible determination and high-level play from start to finish.
