San Antonio, TX (June 22-23, 2026) – The Srixon Prestige Tour headed to College Station this week for the Summer Showdown at Pebble Creek Country Club. Under sunny skies and soaring temperatures, players battled the Texas heat while delivering impressive performances throughout the two-day championship. Ideal playing conditions and a competitive field made for exciting action from start to finish as golfers competed for division titles, valuable exemptions, and another memorable stop on the summer schedule.

Brody Thompson Claims Boys 15-18 Title at the Summer Showdown


Brody Thompson delivered a consistent two-round performance to capture the Boys 15–18 Division title at the Summer Showdown. After opening with a 71 and sitting in second place, Thompson matched his score with another 71 in the final round to secure the victory at 2 under for the championship. His impressive play was highlighted by nine birdies over the two days, helping him rise to the top of a competitive field. With the win, Thompson earned exemptions into the 2026 Texas Junior Golf Alliance Invitational and the Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches, along with an invitation to The Insperity Tour Championship.

Katelyn Davis Claims Girls Overall Title at the Summer Showdown


Katelyn Davis battled her way to the top at the Summer Showdown, capturing both the Girls 15–18 Division title and Overall Championship. After opening with a 75 and sitting in second place, Davis put together a steady final round of 74 to climb the leaderboard and secure the victory. Her consistency was on full display throughout the championship, recording a division-best 27 pars over the two rounds and relying on steady play to earn the title. With the win, Davis earned exemptions into the 2026 Texas Junior Golf Alliance Invitational and the Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches, along with an invitation to the Srixon Prestige Tour Championship.

Hayes Pethtel Claims Boys 11-14 Title at the Summer Showdown


Hayes Pethtel earned the Boys 11–14 Division title at the Summer Showdown with a clutch final-round performance at Pebble Creek Country Club. After sitting two shots back following an opening-round 71, Pethtel fired a 74 on day two to claim the championship at 1 over for the tournament. He paired steady scoring with an offensive mindset, recording a division-high six birdies over the two rounds to power his way to the victory.

Sara Garcia Claims Girls 15-18 Title at the Summer Showdown


Sara Garcia continued her impressive season with another victory at the Summer Showdown, claiming the Girls 11–14 Division title for her third Srixon Prestige Tour win of the year. Garcia put together a pair of consistent rounds, carding an 80 on both days to maintain her position atop the leaderboard. Her steady play throughout the championship added another title to an already standout season.

Team NTPGA Captures 15th Annual Texas Junior Cup Matches at Sand Hill Farm

WALLER, TEXAS (SEPTEMBER 21, 2026) - One of the most highly anticipated junior golf events of the year wrapped up on Sunday as Team Northern Texas PGA defeated Team Southern Texas PGA by a score of 14 to 10 at the 15th Annual Texas Junior Cup Matches. The opening round of Mixed Four-Ball was an evenly-matched thriller, with Team NTPGA holding a narrow lead at 3.5 to 2.5 going into the afternoon Scramble Matches. There, the scoring gap opened up, giving Team NTPGA a more comfortable margin of 9-3 going into Sunday’s matches. Team STPGA did not go down without a fight, winning seven of the Singles Matches in the final round of competition. However, Northern Texas secured their third consecutive title with five victories on the day, bringing the tournament to the 14-10 final score. “Over the years, the Texas Junior Cup Matches have found a special place in the hearts of so many people,” Director of Junior Golf J.T. Milner said. “For the junior golfers and their families, the Matches have become a special part of their junior golf journey.” The event, held at Sand Hill Farm in Waller, TX, features 24 of the top junior golfers across the state aged 12 and under in a Ryder Cup-style format. On Friday, players and families participated in practice rounds and opening ceremonies before heading into two full days of competitive golf. Saturday featured 9-hole Mixed Four-Ball and Scramble Matches, while Sunday concluded the event with 9-hole Singles Matches. Sand Hill Farm once again was a spectacular host for the Matches. The unique 9-hole private course was created by the Tucker family, founders of Mustang Cat, and designed by former professional golfer Peter Jacobsen. We are grateful to the Tucker family for their continued support of this event, allowing us to give our junior golfers top-tier experiences. The Matches wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and dedication of our Captains and Vice Captains on both sides. Chad Moscovic, PGA led the victorious NTPGA team after filling the role of Vice Captain in the 2025 Matches, backed by Kim Paez, PGA. On the STPGA side, Jennifer MacCurrach, PGA provided guidance for the team, backed by David Pilsner, PGA. Both sides were instrumental in building an atmosphere of teamwork, camaraderie, and sportsmanship. “While the competition brings together some of the best junior golfers in Texas for inspired play on the course, the Matches are about so much more than just golf,” Milner said. “They give players the opportunity to meet new people, build lifelong friendships, and create memories with their families that go far beyond the competition itself.” With the victory, Team NTPGA holds the all-time series record at 7-5-1 and celebrates its third straight championship in the Matches’ history.

Bandera, TX (September 19-20, 2026) – The Srixon Prestige Tour made its way to Bandera, Texas, for the Cowboy Cup at Flying L Ranch, where players took on two days of competitive golf in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. With another opportunity to add a Prestige Tour title to their season, juniors battled throughout the weekend and delivered strong performances across each division. As the fall season continues, the Cowboy Cup provided another exciting stop on the Srixon Prestige Tour schedule. Junior golfers battled through two rounds of exciting competition, putting their skills to the test and fighting for the top of the leaderboard. Srixon Prestige Tour Remarks - September 2026

Good Evening Players, Parents, & Family Friends, August marked the perfect end to the biggest Summer on the Srixon Prestige Tour. Srixon Prestige Tour Champions - August August came roaring onto the scene at Vaaler Creek Golf Club for the Creekside Clash , and the Srixon Prestige Tour wasted no time delivering some incredible golf! Layton Eckermann of Lampasas, TX took control early and never let up, cruising to a dominant 10-stroke victory for his first career Boys 11-14 win. Brady Shelton of Spicewood, TX fired a first-round 2-under 70 to seize the lead and held strong through the finish to capture his second Boys 15-18 title of the year. In the Overall Girls Division, Lucy Thompson of Austin, TX erased a four-shot Round 1 deficit with an impressive comeback to secure her first career victory! From there, the Tour headed east to Houston for the STPGA Challenge at BlackHorse Golf Club, where the competition heated up once again. Dakota Ybarra of Baytown, TX wasted no time making his move, opening with an even-par 72 to build a commanding six-shot lead and cruise to his second Boys 11-14 victory of the season. Boys 15-18 saw a thrilling comeback, as Sawyer Schellberg of Houston, TX battled back from six shots down to force a playoff—and then delivered when it mattered most to claim his first career win. Makenzie Minshew of The Woodlands, TX also rose to the occasion in a playoff, earning her first career Overall Girls victory in dramatic fashion! The Srixon Prestige Tour then headed west to New Braunfels for the Surf & Turf New Braunfels Showcase at Landa Park Golf Course, and the drama continued. Cooper Powasnik of Schertz, TX erased a three-shot Round 1 deficit to storm back and capture his first career Boys 11-14 title. In the Boys 15-18 Division, Tate Vanlandingham of San Antonio, TX came through in a thrilling three-way playoff, sinking a birdie on the third playoff hole to secure his first career victory. Natalie Vuu of Houston, TX set the tone early with an opening-round 72, jumping out to the lead and holding on for her first career Overall Girls win! August saved some of its biggest fireworks for last, wrapping up back in Houston at Quail Valley Golf Club for the Vortech Contracting H-Town Showdown . Dylan Hananto of Houston, TX went wire-to-wire to capture his first career Boys 11-14 victory. Reece Williams of Beaumont, TX held off a furious late charge from the field to earn his first career Boys 15-18 win. In the Overall Girls Division, Payson Pistono of The Woodlands, TX put together a dominant performance, pulling away from the field to win by six shots and claim her first Overall Girls victory of the year! 2026 Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches Team STPGA battled all the way to the finish at the 2026 Ben Hogan Junior Cup Matches, but Team NTPGA ultimately claimed the Cup after a hard-fought competition between the best players of the two Sections. The action was intense from the start, with Day 1’s Four-Ball Matches ending in a 3-3 tie. Team STPGA then seized momentum in the Foursomes Matches, highlighted by a clutch putt from Emily Zhang on No. 9 to secure Match #5. The victory gave Team STPGA a narrow 6.5-5.5 lead heading into the final day, setting the stage for an exciting finish. With the Cup hanging in the balance, Team STPGA came out ready to battle in the Singles Matches. Despite a tremendous effort from the entire team, Team NTPGA caught fire and captured Day 2 by an 8.5-3.5 margin, securing the Cup with a final 14-10 victory.
