The winner of the Boys and Girls Division at the Insperity Tour Championship for the Srixon Prestige Tour will earn an exemption to play at The Greenwood Cup Junior Invitational hosted at River Oaks Country Club in Houston, TX. Over the past decade, The Greenwood Cup has welcomed many of the game's rising stars, including Blades Brown, Farah O'Keefe, Pierceson Coody and Rachel Heck, among many others. The tournament features a Boys and Girls Division, with a four-ball team format. Invited players have the opportunity to pick a partner of their choice. The Insperity Tour Championship winners will receive an invitation to this year's tournament on October 23-25, 2026. "We would like to thank the Tournament Committee at River Oaks, including Tournament Chairman, Stuart Wallace and Director of Golf, Matt Swarts, for offering this exemption," said Thomas Hutton, Executive Director of the STPGA. "This not only adds to the reasons why juniors should try to qualify for the PT Tour Championship on July 20-21 at Boot Ranch, but also highlights River Oaks' commitment to growing the game. ROUND ROCK, TX (MAY 4, 2026) - The Southern Texas PGA Junior Golf Program wrapped up the 2026 spring season over the weekend as champions were crowned across fifteen divisions at the STPGA Spring Championship. Hosted at the beautiful Forest Creek Golf Club, the event showcased the wide range of talent in the Little Linksters, Junior Links, and Junior Tour tours over two days of competitive golf. The STPGA Spring Championship continues to be a strong gateway to the rest of the junior golf season, offering top performers unique opportunities as the year ramps up. This year saw a new opportunity for one junior golfer. Through our partnership with the Good Good Championship, Bat Masterson Thibodeaux won four tickets to the final day of competition at the inaugural PGA TOUR event. It will be hosted at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa Fazio Canyons Golf Course in Austin from November 9-15.

Srixon Prestige Tour Champions - April April came in swinging at Pearland Golf Club, where the Spring Fling delivered a thrilling start to the month. Conrad Holzman of Houston, TX put on a dominant performance, cruising to a 5-shot victory and locking in his second Boys 11–14 title of the year. In the Boys 15–18 division, Andrew Bird of Nacogdoches, TX lit up the course with five birdies, capturing his first career Boys 15-18 win in style. Meanwhile, Roberta Alvarez of The Woodlands, TX staged an incredible comeback—firing a clutch Round 2 score of 71 to erase a 7-shot deficit and claim her first Overall Girls title of the year and third of her career. The momentum carried west as the Srixon Prestige Tour hit San Antonio for the Alamo City Shootout at Cedar Creek Golf Course. Gavin Martinez of San Antonio, TX stayed rock-solid with back-to-back rounds of 75 to earn his second Boys 11–14 victory of the season. Hayden Gold of Spring Branch, TX rose to the occasion in the Boys 15–18 division, delivering an even-par 72 in Round 2 to secure his first career win. On the girls’ side, Katherine O’Keefe of Houston, TX pulled off a stunning rally of her own, battling back from 7 shots down to capture her first Overall Girls title. The tour wrapped up April in Comfort at The Buckhorn Golf Course with fireworks at the Huntington Bank Lone Star Shootout . Aaron Aleman of San Antonio, TX went low and stayed low, firing impressive rounds of 68 and 69 to earn his first Boys 11–14 victory. Joshua McGown of Klein, TX made a huge leap up the leaderboard with a scorching second-round 65, claiming his first Boys 15–18 title. Partnership centered around impacting the next generation through grants, scholarships, and a showcase junior golf event. San Antonio, TX (April 17, 2026) - The Southern Texas PGA could not be more excited to continue our partnership with former STPGA Junior Golfer and World Class Professional Golfer Abraham Ancer. Started in 2024, the relationship features the Abraham Ancer Classic on the Srixon Prestige Tour, College Scholarships, and money awarded specifically to families to help introduce golf to the next generation. “This is a full circle moment for the STPGA,” said Thomas Hutton, Executive Director for the STPGA. “From growing up in our program in The Valley to supporting the program financially, we are extremely grateful for his time, investment, and motivation towards helping the next generation.” The third Annual Abraham Ancer Classic will be adding a new chapter in November, when the event visits the Clubs of Cordillera Ranch in Boerne, TX, after being played the last two years at Oak Hills Country Club. The event will be held during Thanksgiving week on November 23-24 and will be the STPGA’s first time hosting a junior golf event at Cordillera Ranch, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, ranked among the best in the State! “The STPGA does an awesome job growing the game, providing scholarships, and running high quality events,” said Ancer who was born in McAllen, TX and raised in Reynosa, Mexico. Ancer grew up playing at Reynosa Country Club and traveled to Southern Texas to compete in STPGA events, where he was the STPGA Valley Area Champion for his division in 2005. “I feel it is only right to give back, get engaged with the next generation, and make a difference!” In addition, Abraham will continue to support our College Scholarship Program and our Dick Harmon Participation Grant. This ties together his value in helping people with their education and then introducing the game to people that might not be able to afford tournament golf! Elite junior golfers from Southern Texas and Louisiana will have the opportunity to compete at the event. SPRING, TX (April 7, 2026) - The Southern Texas PGA is proud to announce the return of The Bayou Cup for the second year as Team STPGA looks to bring the trophy to Southern Texas for the first time. The 2026 matches, presented by Srixon and Adidas, will be hosted once again at Big Easy Ranch from December 4-6, providing a championship-caliber stage and unforgettable experience for top junior golfers. Held in partnership with the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour and the Gulf States PGA, the event features a Ryder Cup-style format designed to challenge elite players through team competition. Each team consists of 12 junior golfers from each tour with representatives from three age divisions: Boys 15-18, Girls 11-18, and Boys 11-14. Team STPGA will be formed through standout performances by golfers at Srixon Prestige Tour tournaments from late July to September. Rising above it all, Brody Tharp of Horseshoe Bay, TX captured his first Boys 11–14 title with a gritty 1-under 71. Diego Amour of McAllen, TX edged out a tightly packed leaderboard to claim his first Boys 15–18 victory, while Addison Braden of San Antonio, TX set the tone early with a 75 to secure her first Overall Girls win of the year. The momentum carried east to Katy for the Spring Break Classic , and the fireworks only intensified. Mason Hwang of Houston, TX staged an incredible comeback, erasing a three-shot deficit before clutching a playoff victory for his first Boys 11-14 title. Hudson Rankin, a hometown standout from Katy, TX, fired a brilliant second-round 69 to earn his first Boys 15–18 win. Meanwhile, Esther Li of Houston, TX delivered a jaw-dropping performance, going 5-under par to notch her second Overall Girls victory of the season. From there, the Tour headed west to Spicewood for the Shootout in the Hills —and lived up to its name. Trevor Lane of Leander, TX broke through with a stellar Second Round 67 to earn his first Boys 11-14 win, while Brady Shelton of Spicewood, TX used a Second Round 69 to cruise to a three-shot Boys 15-18 victory. Francie Martin of Austin, TX added to the excitement, closing strong with a 72 to claim her first career Overall Girls title. At the same time in Cypress, the Rocket City Open brought even more drama. Griffin Domingues of Houston, TX mounted a clutch comeback, using a final-round 76 to overcome a one shot deficit and grab his first win. Jace Beverly of Montgomery, TX kept his composure under pressure, sealing his Boys 15–18 victory with a par in a playoff. Sophia Liu of Sugar Land, TX dominated from start to finish, going wire-to-wire for her first Overall Girls win of the year—and third of her career. The Tour then rolled into Lake Charles for the Visit Lake Charles Spring Classic , where dominant performances stole the spotlight. Landon Lotz of Slidell, LA ran away with a commanding nine-shot Boys 11-14 victory, while Wayne Kabrich of Mandeville, LA held off a late charge to secure his first Boys 15-18 win. Grace Goodwin of Bossier City, LA surged up the leaderboard with a strong closing 72 to earn her first Overall Girls crown. March wrapped up in style in south Houston at the Golf Performance Group Houston Junior Classic , delivering one final burst of excitement. Beckett McLaughlin of Austin, TX set the tone early, firing under par in both rounds, including a sizzling 5-under 67 in Round 2 to capture the Boys 11–14 title in style.
